Calvinism & Arminianism

The debate over the validity, application, and scriptural integrity of the Calvinist and Arminian theological systems has been going on since the earliest days of Christianity. Even before the two men whose names are associated with the frameworks came onto the theological scene, the ideas that formed these belief systems were being tested and discussed amongst the earliest Church fathers. The division between followers of the rival schools has had long term repurcussions within the Church as one or the other has claimed the righteous high ground. This debate has more often than not been marked by rancorous dispute rather than scholarly or grace-filled discourse, the result being an overall shadom cast against the walls of Christ’s church. This page collects my writings and those of others on the topics of Calvinism and Arminianism with the goal of a fair consideration for one another’s positions.
